Resettlement and Restoration of Livelihoods of Tribals displaced from Satpura Tiger Reserve, MP

Satpura Tiger Reserve is located in the hilly part of Hoshangabad district, MP, spread over 524 sq km.

The original inhabitants of the area, Gond and Korku tribals, had to be shifted outside the Reserve. Villages like Nandner, inside the Reserve were moved to new locations, with compensation.
